I just got done going to the pre-grand opening gala at Uptown Village. Some preliminary thoughts:
1. The Village Green area will indeed be nice for community concerts and other events.
2. About 30 percent of the total square footage is in stores that open March 12. Another 30 percent or so, as if this time, is in stores that will open by mid-summer, pending any further space being leased.
3. The area will certainly be secure; it has a number of video cameras, with a security booth in the Village Green area. That is also where the information booth for the mall is at.
