I would like to share this information regarding Duncanville Police Officer P.C. Young, a friend of many in this area.
The Duncanville Police Department is saddened by the loss of one of their family members
Officer Patrick “P.C.” Young passed away early Wednesday morning. Officer Young was a career law enforcement officer; he started his career in Lancaster, Texas, in 1982 he joined the Duncanville Police Department in December 1985. During his tenure with the Duncanville Police Department Officer Young received a Certificate of Merit, 12 Police Commendations, 24 Letters of Appreciation from various police departments, businesses and citizens for the outstanding job he did. Officer Young was a certified police instructor. He held a Master Peace Officer from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officers Standards and Education. He was a firearms instructor and had received his 5 year safe driving award. Officer Young was a member of the Duncanville Police Department’s rifle team, and worked with the law enforcement explorer program, and worked as a warrant officer of the municipal court. Officer Young is survived by his wife and 3 children.
Officer Patrick “P.C.” Young will be missed by his extended family of the Duncanville Police Department and employees of the City of Duncanville. Funeral arrangements have been made and will be held on Saturday, May 10th at noon at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses at 428 Parkerville, Rd. Cedar Hill, Texas. At the families request this will be a very brief service. There will not be a formal police ceremony.
